Scanvio Privacy Policy (iPhone)

App: Scanvio – PDF Scanner & OCR for iPhone (bundle ID com.fz.pdf.scanner.ors)
Effective date: October 23, 2026

This policy explains what information the Scanvio app for iPhone ("Scanvio", "we", "us") uses, why, and the choices you have. Scanvio is built so that your documents stay on your iPhone.

1. Your documents stay on your device

Scans, imported PDFs and images, extracted (OCR) text, signatures and files in the Private Vault are stored only in Scanvio's private storage on your iPhone. They are excluded from iCloud backup. We do not upload your documents to any server and we have no access to them. They leave your iPhone only when you choose to share or export them.

2. Information the app uses and why

FeatureWhat is usedHow
ScanningCameraOnly while you scan. Edge detection and cropping use Apple's VisionKit document camera, on your device.
Text recognition (OCR)Page imagesProcessed on your device with Apple's Vision framework. The text is saved only inside the app.
Import from Files / PhotosFiles or photos you pickOnly the items you select are copied into the app. Scanvio does not browse your library.
Save pages as JPGPhotos (add only)With your permission, exported pages are added to your Photos library.
Private VaultPIN, Face ID / Touch IDVault files are encrypted (AES-256) with a key kept in the iPhone Keychain on this device only. Your PIN is stored only as a salted hash. Face ID / Touch ID is handled by iOS; Scanvio never receives your face or fingerprint data.
E-SignatureYour drawn or photographed signatureStored only on your device so you can reuse it.
Password-protected PDFPassword you typeUsed once to encrypt the shared copy. It is not stored.

3. Advertising

The free version of Scanvio shows ads. Ads are delivered through AppLovin MAX, which may work with these ad networks: Google AdMob, Google Ad Manager, Meta Audience Network, Liftoff (Vungle), Mintegral, Pangle, Unity Ads, ironSource, Moloco and DT Exchange.

To show and measure ads, these services may collect your device's advertising identifier (IDFA, only if you allow tracking), the identifier for vendors (IDFV), IP address, approximate location derived from it, device and app information, and ad interactions such as impressions and clicks.

App Tracking Transparency: iOS asks for your permission before the IDFA can be used. If you choose "Ask App Not to Track", you still see ads, but they are not personalised using the IDFA. You can change this at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. Users in the EEA, UK and Switzerland are also asked for consent where required, and can change it later in Scanvio's Settings ("Ad privacy choices").

Scanvio PRO users do not see ads. Each partner handles data under its own policy, for example AppLovin, Google, Meta.

4. Analytics and attribution

We use Google Firebase Analytics and AppsFlyer to understand how the app is used and to measure our marketing (for example which campaign led to an install). They collect app usage events (first open, sessions, ad impressions and their value), device information, an app instance ID, the IDFV and, only if you allow tracking, the IDFA. They do not receive your documents or their content. See Firebase privacy and AppsFlyer privacy.

5. Purchases (Scanvio PRO)

Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are handled by Apple's App Store. Apple processes your payment; we never receive your card or payment details. The app only learns whether you own PRO, so it can unlock features and restore your purchase. You can manage or cancel a subscription in Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions.

6. What we do not do

7. Data retention and deletion

Your documents stay on your iPhone until you delete them in the app or delete Scanvio, which removes all documents, Vault files and settings. Analytics and advertising data are kept by the providers named above under their own retention policies. To ask us to delete analytics data linked to your device, email us; you can also turn off tracking in iOS Settings.

8. Children

Scanvio is a general productivity app and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the app, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Security

We use iOS app sandbox storage, AES-256 encryption with the iPhone Keychain for the Private Vault, and secure connections for ads, analytics and purchases. No method is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or the CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information, or to object to its use. Contact us to make a request.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
